CLASSES
Learn Mahjong with Confidence
Mahjong is a game of strategy, laughter, and connection, but learning it can feel overwhelming without the right guide. That’s why I’ve designed our classes in two simple parts: Mahjong 101 and Mahjong 102. Together, they’ll give you the skills and confidence to sit down at any table and actually enjoy the game.
Mahjong 101:
Your First Shuffle
-
Brand-new players who’ve never touched a tile or only know the name of the game.
-
Step-by-step teaching of the rules and setup
Hands-on practice with real tiles
Time to play through one or two full rounds
A welcoming environment where questions are encouraged
-
You’ll leave Mahjong 101 knowing the foundations, from dealing to building your hand, and feeling excited to keep learning. No pressure, no jargon, just an evening that’s as fun as it is educational.
-
$60 per person
Mahjong 102:
Play with Guidance
-
Anyone who’s taken Mahjong 101 or has a basic understanding of the rules and wants more practice.
-
A quick review of the basics
Guided gameplay with tips and strategy along the way
Personalized coaching to help you sharpen your skills
A supportive table where learning feels natural
-
Mahjong 102 is all about building confidence. You’ll get more comfortable making decisions, practice spotting opportunities, and feel ready to join open play nights.
-

Nope! We provide everything — tiles, tables, and teaching. Just bring yourself (and maybe a friend).
-
That’s what Mahjong 102 is for — review, guided play, and extra support until it clicks.
-
Yes. The two-part approach ensures you understand the rules, get hands-on practice, and feel truly ready to play anywhere.
-
No problem! Just add your name to the Waitlist, and we’ll reach out as soon as a seat opens up. Waitlist spots are offered in the order they’re received, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox. Once a spot becomes available, we’ll need to hear back quickly to confirm your seat before it’s offered to the next player.
Ready to Play?
Learning mahjong is easier — and more fun — than you think. Start with 101, follow up with 102, and soon you’ll be part of the game, not just watching from the sidelines.
